Ashrav is based on a guy who was really popular and had lots of admirers in high school. I actually didn't know this
initially since he was quite introverted and never tried to stand out; I
only found out through social media. He's a genuinely
nice person so he doesn't get the short end of the stick in my games.
LOL. That being said, he's just a really normal guy so my depiction of
him as a gentleman in jeopardy is for comedic purposes only. He's one of the few characters who's coloured in to emphasize how much he stands out to other people.
Back then, I was trolling around ask.fm for details of another person (I was on that OSINT grind since my teens, yurrrr) and stumbled upon anons hounding Ashrav's friends for details about him. He's very private so girls were DESPERATE for a crumb of his internal workings. They also were absolutely not shy in announcing their thirst for him. These asks were the inspiration for the fans depicted in the games, some of them word for word. I thought it was funny so I wrote it on my blog at the time. I'll repost it down below.
Oh yeah, you'll see someone whose name starts with C being mentioned a lot. That's Carmen (who you also see in the game). She was a freshman who made her feelings towards Ashrav known not very long
after she entered school. It was an open secret! (In fact, this lead to more freshmen knowing about Ashrav and netting him even MORE admirers) Carmen also wrote Wattpad
stories and she actually wrote one where the main character was named
Carmen and her love interest was named Ash. Subtle, huh? I might share it in the future for a laugh. Other than fangirling, there's nothing
really notable about her. I find her immature shenanigans funny, but I
don't dislike her or anything.
Anyway, here's the post from my old blog. The asks are from most recent to oldest, so read from bottom to top for images with multiple asks. There are two sections: asks from his friends' account and Carmen's account. Some parts were edited over with different terms as they were originally local terms that would give away my nationality. By the way, this is just 100% gossip and me showing off how much I dug up so you can skip it. LOL.

| This is kinda creepy, lol. Under the cover of anonymity they get real bold with their thirst! |
Watch out! The girls are doing reconnaissance!
This is some strange logic. They want him to reveal all 'cause otherwise they'll be heartbroken but if he DID have a crush wouldn't they be heartbroken too? LMAO. Sounds like a lose-lose situation to me.
A bit creepy, but too iconic to be not included.
For some reason a lot of these people were insistent that Ashrav had a crush. I'm assuming they are hoping to manifest it into reality and that his crush would be them.
WTF LOL. These girls are getting out of hand. Asking for his shirtless pics?! Even if his friends had any pictures, why would they show it? The thirst is REAL. At least the girls who gave him love letters and Valentines dared to make a move instead of skulking around cyberspace trying to elicit half-naked pics of the chap. LMAO.
| LOL @ the Edward Cullen comparison. Maybe that's another factor why girls like him. |
Thinking about it now there were definitely a few popular attractive girls that could've matched up well with him looks wise, but they ended up with different guys. Interestingly, he could've taken the chance to date around but he didn't.
| This is unrelated to Ashrav. I just thought this ask was hilarious. I mean, "prom posal busted"? "hot kick"?! What?! |
Prom was coming up at the time and so all the related questions started popping up. The poor guy couldn't catch a break, lol. In any case, Ashrav went to prom without a date, he just hung out with his friends.Another "car" joins the race! She's also from the same sports house as Ashrav. Don't know whether she posted these asks herself or a friend of hers was fishin'. Unfortunately, they fell for this Ashrav's friend's trolling. Ashrav also gets called a book freak for some reason. He is definitely not the bookish type so I don't know what they were trying to say.
-----------------------
Carmen:
The girl herself is pretty honest with her crush on Ashrav online; maybe that's why she got a lot of hate from jealous girls. A bit of an overreaction by the fangirls, but what can you expect from teenagers?
Someone's fishing to see if Ashrav enjoyed that interaction. Heck, maybe it was Carmen herself sending these asks to suggest that Ashrav might like her.
Funny how what Carmen did lead to so much brouhaha. A bit hypocritical if those rabid fans are mad at Carmen considering they're just the same though. This anon seems to be insisting to Carmen that Ashrav doesn't like her under the guise of advise. Typical cattiness!
These asks also seem rather passive-aggressive, as if they're trying to rub it in Carmen's face that it's unlikely that Ashrav likes her.
On the other hand we also have these asks insinuating that Ashrav does indeed like Carmen. Then again, these could be asks she sent herself to convince others that she's not the only one who thinks that there's something between them. Who knows? I just like making conspiracy theories.
That being said they somehow can twist it to Ashrav being nervous or being loyal to someone else. You just can't win with these girls!
I have no other comment besides OOF.
-----------------------
Finally, for funsies we have some entries from the school's confession Facebook page. (It was run by anonymous students) This school loves drama, doesn't it? I like archiving it though, it's fun! Especially since it seems right out of TV show. I never expected this much hubbub from a guy being popular.
This doesn't seem like it relates to Ashrav at first, and even though this girl misleads us by saying her crush isn't handsome, the details she gives about him appear to match Ashrav. (It was hypothesized so in the comments)
Ashrav or not her crush on him is crazy though. I mean, his heart attracted her yet they never talked and she could tell through his eyes?! What is she, psychic?! She's just trying to make her superficial crush on him seem more meaningful, I think. I don't know what's she doing confessing all of this on Facebook (even though everything is anonymous). Too many people are using the confessions page as therapy, lol.
This one directly references him. Again these girls downplay their attraction to Ashrav by saying they don't see him as handsome or that they can't find what's so good about him. I mean, it just took him being courteous for her to realize why he's popular? Girl, quit frontin'.
And why she's gotta put his full name and say that her sibling is in the same class in him too? Is she trying to draw attention to herself? Weird. Her advice to him is to pick a girl for her personality, and I can hear the echo of his fangirls yelling in agreement (aka asking him to go for them lol).
| This one doesn't mention Ashrav by name, but once again the characteristics seem to describe him (the :| face is his ethnicity). |
Why is this girl apologizing like her lack of initiative was Ashrav's loss? Not to mention she assumes most of Ashrav's actions and thinks that those glances and stares meant anything. He was a serial starer so it most likely meant nothing. Still, I wonder who this was... This was not somebody from the same class, but where does "you sitting in front of my table" refer to? Ashrav sitting in front of her (or his - plot tweest) table... Hmm... House meetings? Cafeteria? Library? Study area? Could be anywhere. I can't get over how this girl recalls every single little thing Ashrav did. Since they aren't friends (or even acquaintances, judging from the text given) and these actions are SO minuscule, I pity her for putting so much value and importance on them.
"I guess that moment I knew that you might be the one, but I guess I was wrong."
Oh come ON! Of course he's gonna look at you if you mention his name. She really thought locking eyes with him meant the he could've been the one? I guess I shouldn't make fun of her but this is ridiculous.
I know for sure this girl is younger than him, since at the end she hopes Ashrav would attend any future school events and this would only matter to someone who's still studying there.
I know it might seem a bit insane for me to have collected all of this, but I truly do enjoy archiving these things and using it for inspiration. Heheh. It's a good source to understand human nature and social connections. I recommend it!
